Hawkchurch Garden Club Open Gardens 2021

At last we look forward to brighter times for garden visits and this year various gardeners in the village have very kindly offered to open their gardens to the public.

This will be a two day event on two afternoons, from 1.30 p.m to 5.00 p.m. each day Saturday 3rd July and Sunday 4th July.  Entrance is £5 adults, free for under 16, and this will cover both days. A map will be provided marking out the various gardens. Tickets and map from the Village Hall.

On Saturday 3rd July there will be 6 gardens to visit, all on the surrounding edges of the village.

On Sunday 4th July there will again be 6 gardens but these are all in the centre of the village.

The outer gardens on Saturday can be reached by walking if you feel you want a good walk but I think most will need cars.  Sharing cars will help as some have limited parking and it will need care as it will be at your own risk.

Parking for the centre gardens on Sunday will be in the Village Hall and the gardens can be reached by walking from there.

Tea and cake will be provided on both days at the village hall where you can collect the map and your ticket for entry to the gardens.

There will also be a plant stall at the Village Hall.

Unfortunately if it is very wet it will be cancelled as, I am sure, nobody wants to visit a soggy garden and sorry no dogs.

Half of the proceeds for this event will go to the Club and half to ARC Axminster a charity which provides counselling and mental health support.  We must also thank our gardeners for all their hard work.

We look forward to you joining us.
