Knives Out – 9th March Film Night

Latest Film

We’re in a country house setting again for this month’s film, but there are more pressing concerns than which cutlery to use for the royal visit.

‘Knives Out’ (cert.12A, 127 mins) is a modern take on the good old-fashioned Agatha Christie-style whodunnit, written and directed by Rian Johnson (The Last Jedi)  and featuring an all-star cast : Daniel Craig (Bond, James Bond), Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music), Don Johnson (Miami Vice), Toni Colette (The Sixth Sense), Michael Shannon (Little Drummer Girl) and Chris Evans (Captain America) among them.

Renowned crime writer Harlan Thrombrey (Plummer) is found with his throat cut in an apparent suicide, but his dysfunctional family soon prove to have motives for murder.

Doors at the Village Hall open at 7pm on Monday 9th March, with the film starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £5 in advance from Hawkchurch Community Shop or £6 on the door.

Refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits, home-made cake, choc ices and wine) available before the film.

Hope to see you there
