No better time to walk

There has never been a better time to go for a walk! The weather is good, the paths have dried out nicely and the Government is encouraging us all to exercise once a day. This can be done alone, with members of your household, or with your dog/s. Just remember to stay 2 metres away from others!

Hawkchurch has a network of 40 footpaths and bridleways.  Below, there is a map which you can download and print out as two A4 sheets showing the two halves of the Parish. All of the routes are numbered and some of them are connected by green lanes/unmetalled roads, others require a bit of road work in between. Some routes are more challenging than others but those nearest the village are all easy to walk.

There are some stunning views on the walks – can anyone identify where this photograph was taken? Do you have any photos you’d like to share?

  • Take maps/guidebooks.
  • Leave gates and property as you find them.
