Hawkchurch Community Support

We have established a volunteer group to help support the community of Hawkchurch through the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. The group is called CHART which and is backed by the Hawkchurch Parish Council and Community Shop, with guidance, support and funding from both Devon District and County Council. We now have nearly 50 volunteers who are able to help with a variety of things, including:

  • Collecting medicines
  • Delivering supplies
  • Posting letters and parcels
  • Walking dogs
  • Wheeling out rubbish bins or garden bins
  • Someone to chat to over the phone
  • Books or magazines

Our Community Shop has measures in place to ensure it can provide a sustainable, secure and safe approach so that it can continue to support the community of Hawkchurch.

If you would like support now, or feel you may need it in the near future, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and tell us what would help.

Let us know what would help you while our normal lives are disrupted. Nothing is too small or too big an ask. We will not be able to provide any services that designated health professionals are needed for but we can help in many other ways.

You can call Ann 01297 678 613 or Chris 01297 678340 to let us know how we can help.

Alternatively you can email us at hawkchurch1@outlook.com

Or you can use the contact form below. Please supply either an email or telephone number so we can get back to you.

We have published a safeguarding policy to protect both residents and volunteers. View Safeguarding:
