We will hold our AGM on Thursday 28th September in the Hawkchurch Village Hall at 7pm. We will update the committee structure in the November news issue.
For October this year the shop is delighted to be collaborating with the village Primary School for their Harvest Festival which will be in the church on Thursday October 5th.
The shop will have a Canned Sunshine (Axminster) Food Bank Drop Box in the shop for the whole of October, if you wish to bring in or add an item or two. Here is a list of what can be donated. Any tinned food- (Veg, meat, fish, soups), Pasta/rice/noodles. UHT milk or powder, cereals & condiments, Jams/Marmalade, chutneys/pickles. Biscuits/crackers, tea/coffee/sugar. Readymade sauces, lentils/beans and pulses. Clothes washing detergents, toothpaste/toothbrushes, any toiletries including feminine hygiene products, nappies and wipes and toilet rolls- Any item that can be stored at ambient temperature and has shelf life. Our thanks to you in advance.
Also a reminder to any families at The Woodroffe School, we are a collection point for pre-loved uniforms that you no longer need/want, just bag it up and drop it into the shop for the attention of Meeri.
We are seeking new volunteers to work in the shop too. Shifts are 2 hours per week and can be regular or flexible, full training provided. Drop us an email if you are interested.
