Customers Inside the Shop

Based on the feedback from the Volunteers and further considerations debated by the Committee, we are moving forward with planning to re-open the Shop soon to customers. We have a little bit of work to do in terms of ordering equipment, delivery, and some re-organising of the shop layout. We do not have a date we will let you know via posters at the Shop, the Parish website, and social media. For those of you who may feel reluctant to come inside the Shop, we will keep the facility for you to place your order and pay from outside.

Volunteer Coordinator

Chris Andrews has been co-opted on to the Committee and will be our new Volunteer Coordinator.

We are in the process of changing the contact details over and they will be available in the Shop and on social media etc. very soon.

Health & Safety Volunteer

If you think you would be interested in taking on this role, please get in touch with a committee member or email us on hawkchurchshop@gmail.com

This is a role that can be undertaken as a committee member, but not essential. We are extremely fortunate that Lin Horrocks has put together an excellent manual and produced all the necessary monitoring forms required. Understandably, under the current circumstances significant attention should be paid to this role and would require regular review of our operational practices and changes set out by the government for the shop and volunteers to maintain safety and compliance. There would be a requirement for the post holder to undertake an online level one food hygiene course which will be paid for by the shop and repeated at least once every two years. (Meeri has done this course three times and can assure you that it is quite manageable. You can complete modules separately at your own pace or the whole course can be completed in approximately 3 hours from the comfort of your own home.)
